This series explores the 'white' surface of modern architecture and the idea that it is 'anti-decorative', 'pure' and 'neutral'. Exposed to the play of light and shadow, the photographs in these sculptural arrangements reveal a range of different tones, highlights and colours; not white but multi-coloured. Like Mark Wigley who describes the white walls of modern architecture as "clothing" (2001), the photographic prints act to 'dress' the space and create a layering of forms, shapes, colours and surfaces.
